Springtime Expressions

Level: This is most suited to B2/C1- level

Time: 1 hour + (depending on level and conversation development)

This Springtime Expressions lesson focuses on expressions connected to spring. Students read the idioms in context and try to determine their meaning before matching the idioms to their meanings. It then follows with a gap-fill exercise and some language focus. Finally, the students write their own mini-dialogues and ask and answer conversation questions which contain the idioms. 

We have a teacher’s copy (including teacher’s notes, an answer key, and a pronunciation guide) and a student version which you can email to your class for online lessons.
