Introduction to Phonetics
The International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) chart is an excellent tool to help students improve their pronunciation. This lesson introduces and explains the IPA chart, and includes a variety of transcription exercises.
We have a teacher’s copy (including teacher’s notes) and a student version which you can email to your class for online lessons. We recommend downloading the teacher copy and reading through the teacher’s notes before class.
