1. B2 Speaking Topics
The activity includes a varied selection of B2 speaking topics, including learning English, sports and activities, jobs and studies, eating habits and cooking, home and country, interests, family and friends, films, TV, music and podcasts, leisure time, technology and social media.
2. Conversation and Discussion
Students work in pairs or small groups using the B2 conversation questions to exchange ideas, talk about their experiences and find out more about their classmates. Questions encourage students to give more detailed answers and develop conversations naturally.
3. Follow-up Questions
Students are encouraged to ask follow-up questions throughout the activity, giving them further speaking practice and opportunities to respond spontaneously rather than simply working through a list of questions.
4. Flexible Classroom Use
The B2 speaking topics PDF can be used as a complete handout or cut into individual cards, making it suitable for pair work, small-group speaking activities and first lessons with a new class.
