This present simple speaking activity gives students structured practice asking and answering questions about familiar, everyday topics. It can be used for pair work, small-group speaking practice or online lessons.
1. Personal Information & Where You Live
Students answer present simple questions about themselves, including their name, where they are from, the languages they speak and what they do. They also discuss their city, town or village.
2. Daily Routines
Students talk about their morning and bedtime routines, including when they get up and go to bed, what they eat and drink, and other everyday habits.
3. Food, Exercise & Free Time
Students discuss food, restaurants, takeaways, sport, exercise and leisure activities while practising common present simple question forms.
4. Weekends, Friends & Holidays
Further conversation questions encourage students to talk about weekends, their best friend and their usual holiday habits and activities.
