Writing and Saying Dates
Level: This is most suited to A0 – A1 level students but can be used with A2 level as revision.
Time: 40 minutes + (depending on level).
This is a lesson on writing and saying dates. It focuses on ordinal numbers, the months of the year and formats for writing and saying dates in both British and American English. There are lots of writing and speaking practice exercises, and also focus on pronunciation.
We have a teacher’s copy (including teacher’s notes, a pronunciation guide and an answer key) and a student version which you can email to your class for online lessons.

This is a fantastic website and the worksheets scaffold the teaching points very well. But there are two things that I find to be a small irritant. When I put in a specific search e.g. second conditional - it includes worksheets not related to that search. The other thing is that I am a paid subscriber but often a pop up box appears asking me to review the free resources. I have to keep closing the pop up box which is annoying.
