Irregular Verbs Bingo Game Overview
1. Review Irregular Verbs
Elicit some irregular verbs from the class and review their past simple forms before starting the game.
2. Play the Bingo Game
Give each student or pair a bingo card. For lower-level learners, call out the past simple forms for students to recognise and find. For more challenging practice, use the base verb calling cards and ask students to find the corresponding past forms.
3. Extend the Practice
With stronger learners, use the base verb cards to practise past participles and review irregular verb forms used with perfect tenses.
