Level: This is most suited to B2 –ย C1- level.

Time: 1 hour 25 mins + (depending on level).ย 

This Mixed Conditionals: Type 2 ESL lesson focuses on mixed conditionals with a present imaginary condition and a past result. It begins with some brief revision of the second, third, and type 1 mixed conditional forms. The students then analyse type 2 mixed conditional sentences.

Following this, there is focus on using continuous forms and alternative modals in mixed conditionals. Finally, there are various practice exercises including a speaking task.

We have a teacher’s copy (including teacher’s notes and an answer key) and a student version which you can email to your class for online lessons.
