Level: This is most suited to A2/B1 level students.

Time: 20 mins +

These past continuous exercises covers practice of the past continuous actions in progress in the past interrupted by specific time, shorter actions in the past simple and parallel actions in progress.

These exercises can be given as homework after you have covered the past continuous. They are also great for tests, extra practice in class, or they can be given to fast finishers, while other students are continuing with a task.

It’s a great follow-up activity to our ‘Past Continuous Tense’ lesson.

We have a teacher’s copy (including teacher’s notes) and a student version which you can email to your class for online lessons.
