Talking about Football

Level: This is most suited to A1+/A2 level students but can be used with B1 level as revision.

Note that your students should be familiar with the present simple and past simple before doing this lesson.

Time: 1 hour + (depending on level).  

This Talking about Football ESL lesson plan and activity starts with some basic football-related vocabulary and past simple verbs. Next, the students read and role-play a dialogue between a father and son talking about football. Finally, there are conversation questions and a game to revise the vocabulary.
