Things in nature ESL questions – lesson overview
1. Vocabulary matching
Students begin by matching key things in nature vocabulary (e.g. desert, volcano, iceberg, cave) to the pictures, helping to activate and build their vocabulary.
2. Speaking practice
Students read through and answer things in nature ESL questions in pairs or small groups. They practise asking and answering questions and giving short, extended responses.
3. Describing activity
Students take turns describing a picture using simple language while their partner guesses the word. This encourages communication, vocabulary recall, and confidence in speaking.
