Discussion Language

Level:  This is most suited to B2 level students but can be used at C1 level for fluency practice.

Time:  1.5 hours (depending on the length of discussion).

This is a lesson to help students develop fluency and accuracy when having discussions about controversial topics. It includes conversation questions, a brainstorming exercise, focus on structures for giving/asking for opinions and agreeing and disagreeing, a discussion/debate task and a crossword to revise the phrases learnt.

We have a teacher’s copy (including teacher’s notes and an answer key) and a student version which you can email to your class for online lessons.
